Hulse & Wynter has strong roots in Burlington County and New Jersey. The firm was originally formed in Burlington, New Jersey in 1967 as the Hulse Law Office by Edward J. Hulse, Jr. George H. Hulse joined his brother, Ed’s practice and the firm became known as Hulse and Hulse Esqs. The firm was located in the offices where George’s father, Edward J. Hulse, had his accounting practice in Burlington City. In the 1950s George’s father was Mayor of Beverly as well as County Freeholder from 1958 to 1964. On his mother’s side, George’s grandfather, Richard P. Hughes, was Mayor of Burlington City in the 1940s and Postmaster in the 1950s and 1960s. George’s uncle, Richard J. Hughes, was Governor of New Jersey from 1962 to 1970 and Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1973 to 1979.

George is a graduate of Moorestown Friends School, received a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Villanova University and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden. He was law clerk to the Honorable Paul R. Kramer J.S.C., and the Honorable Gilbert M. VanSciver J.S.C.. George served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserve National Guard and was a Delran Township Councilman from 1969 to 1974. He built the Castle Harbor Ship Chandler Marina in Delran with his then father-in-law, Louis F. Persic, from 1968 to 1970. He later purchased the Castle Harbor Drive In Restaurant in Delran where his four daughters worked during their high school summers.

The Law office of Hulse and Hulse became Hulse & Germano in 1980 when Denis Germano joined the practice as George’s partner.

Inspired by her father, Gracy Hulse Wynter knew from a young age she wanted to be a lawyer in service to others. Gracy joined Hulse & Germano in 2000. In 2014, she became Managing Partner of the firm and in 2017, the firm became known as Hulse & Wynter. Gracy is proud to continue her family legacy. Gracy is a graduate of Holy Cross High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and her law degree from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Hulse & Wynter Gracy was an associate at Duane Morris LLP in Philadelphia and Murtha Cullina LLP in Boston. Gracy also served as law clerk to the Honorable Carol J. Kenner, former Chief Justice of the United State Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Office of the United States Trustee for the United States Department of Justice in Boston.
