Jennifer A. Kay joined Hulse & Wynter with a clear purpose: to help people through challenging times with empathy, focus, and practical guidance. Whether working with families navigating probate disputes or businesses facing complex litigation, Jennifer is committed to listening carefully and guiding clients with both confidence and compassion.

Ms. Kay comes to the firm following clerkships with the Hon. Paula T. Dow and the Hon. Richard J. Nocella of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington County. In those roles, she gained hands-on experience with probate, foreclosure, and chancery matters — seeing firsthand how strong advocacy and attention to detail can make a difference in people’s lives. Her work also included mediating landlord-tenant and civil disputes, honing her ability to meet clients where they are and help them move toward resolution.

A graduate of Rutgers Law School (J.D., cum laude), Ms. Kay served as Articles Editor for the Rutgers University Law Review and participated in the Constitutional Rights Clinic. She also earned a Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage and Preservation from Rutgers and a B.A. in Art History from New York University. Her academic path began with a passion for history and preservation, and her legal career grew from a simple question: how can the law be used to protect what matters most?

At Hulse & Wynter, Ms. Kay focuses on probate, trust and estate litigation, and business disputes. She was drawn to the firm for its strong reputation in these areas and for the opportunity to work closely with clients from the very start of her career. “Clients don’t come to you when they’re having a good time,” she says. “They come with real problems. My goal is to guide them through in a way that is practical, realistic, and above all — helpful.”

A South Jersey native, Ms. Kay lives in Collingswood and serves on the Collings-Knight House Historic Preservation Commission. Outside of the law, she is an avid open-water swimmer and enjoys spending time at the Jersey Shore, where she worked for many summers as an ocean lifeguard.
